Steam started hanging again after working for about a week. Later I switched to the nvidia only setup detailed in the wiki, discussed in another thread, and steam worked fine. In the old thread, I was able to get steam to work by using the nvidia-prime setup instead of the nvidia-xrun setup, though I don't know why that fixed the issue. I am still able to run thins that don't require sudo or network.īasically, I cannot kill any of the above mentioned processes even with sysrq+e/i and I end up having to sysrq+b. If I try to open the "net" window after opening btop, it does not open and btop hangs as well. I am fairly certain this is a network issue, since I can run btop if the "net" window is closed when it starts, but otherwise I cannot. Additionally, I am unable to connect to webpages, or use sudo while this is happening. When I start steam it hangs on the login window and I am unable to kill one of the "steamwebhelper" processes. So this is basically the same issue from an older thread I started, but I have some new information about the issue now. Basically, this is incredibly aggravating, lol. Add that to the fact that I had steam working fine for a week before this started happening again. I cannot seem to find a single case of anyone else having this specific issue, anywhere. ![]() Hey there, so I'm going to just c/p the post I made on the arch forum here in hopes I get some more eyes on the issue I'm having.
